We love old pickups, especially early 70s GMs. This ’71 was repainted in it’s original color of Medium Blue and the interior is almost all new, see details below.  This truck has had a lot of new parts installed and everything works. The seller bought the truck as you currently see it and is not certain of it's previous configuration. Assuming it left the factory with a metal dash is likely a safe assumption.
